Roofing Systems - Dryseal Overview | FiberTite Single Ply Membrane | Dryseal GRP Roofing System | Photo Gallery | Green Roofs
For refurbishment or new build contracts, Dryseal totally encapsulates the roof with a single material. It can be fitted over an existing roof covering and requires no heat or flames for installation. Manufactured under factory conditions to BS EN ISO 9001 quality standards the GRP components are able to cope with even the most intricate design detail of flat and low pitched roofs. DRYSEAL has BBA certification No.95/3114. The Dryseal system forms one continuous membrane over the whole roof structure; where the joints are the strongest part of the system. Seams and Laps On-site laminating is carried out using high quality roofing grade resin, incorporating a glass chopped strand matting overlaid with a glass tissue.
Dryseal is unique in the way that it is fully versatile and can be formed to the most intricate detail by the in-situ lamination. It can also be used on related areas such as tank rooms, parapets, walls, chimneys and gutters. Substantial savings can be made on roofs congested with plant and equipment, as Dryseal is often installed without removing or raising plant and equipment. On refurbishment projects Dryseal can be installed over an existing roof surface with resultant cost and environmental benefits associated with removal and disposal. Unlike felt or bitumen based systems, Dryseal reduces fire risk as it does not involve any form of heat source during the installation. Components Upstands, raised kerb/edges, wall fillets, coping trims, and expansion joints are all pre-formed factory produced units, manufactured to BS EN ISO 9002 standards. All mechanical fixings used in the system are laminated over to protect them from the elements, thereby reducing the chance of premature failure. Dryseal can be installed on warm, cold and inverted roofs. Trafficked areas can be given a anti-slip finish as part of the final coating process. Dryseal’s high performance top coat is applied to the GRP membrane and details as a further protection against ultra-violet light degradation. The top coat is available in light or dark grey as standard, or in a selection of other colours to order. Database Technical details, drawings and an electronic library containing technical manuals for Dryseal and other Hambleside Danelaw products are available in all supportive versions of Autocad through the Fastrack CAD database.
