Hambleside Danelaw into the wild

Our chosen charity this year is the Royal British Legion. We want to raise as much money as we can for this amazingly noble cause and to say thank you to all the soldiers. The charity has been running since the 1920s, for the soldiers that have served and those that are serving today. The money raised goes towards finance, care, recovery, respite and employment. You can find out more information on their website https://www.britishlegion.org.uk/

As part of our campaign we have decided to name this part ‘Hambleside Danelaw into the wild’. 11 employees are taking on the Wolf Run challenge.

The wolf run is wild running – a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. Voted the best OCR in the UK, it’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes and thick mud.

We’ll tackle a series of tough obstacles, both man-made and natural designed to test your mental and physical strength, skill and stamina. We’ll run, climb, jump, wade, crawl and swim through a course designed to challenge you on every level.

We are nervous but up for the challenge, we are also very happy for people to come watch and show their support. We will have a bucket there too, in case you have some change weighing you down in your pockets. The Wolf Run’s location is Welsh Road Farm, Offchurch, Warickshire CV33 9BG on the 2nd of September (Sunday). There will be heated marques, indoor TV screens showing live footage, food stalls and a bar. You can find out further details of the Wolf Run on their website https://thewolfrun.com/
