Roofing detail singled out

Danelaw’s new MONO6+ventilated dry fix ridge system is a single solution for social housing providers to optimise value for money in more ways than one.

The dry fix ridge system provides a single universal solution that is fully compliant with all UK Regulations, and can be used with all commonly available mono ridge tile types. Just one system needs to be specified to deliver a fast and reliable installation of the ridge tiles wherever they are required on any monopitch tiled or slate roof.

The MONO6+complete kit is a development of the market-leading CON6+ and CLAY6+ ventilated dry fix ridge kits that include the patented Uni-Ridge flexible tile jointing gasket, Rollflex ridge roll, and stainless steel batten straps and fixing screws. Specifying these kits delivers a reliable solution for all ridge tile fixing needs; being a mechanically-fixed solution, it requires no on-site mortar work with all the associated issues of weather dependency and maintenance.

The unique gasket design features continuous integrated water channels and a self-sealing detail for the fixing screws, and the ridge fixing plates are manufactured from a hig strength, non-corrosive glass polyamide composite material.

When installed, MONO6+ provides a minimum 5000mm2 clear ventilating airflow/ linear metre, delivering the requirement of BS5250 for both warm and cold roofs. It further brings a 15 year peace of mind performance guarantee whether new build, refurbishment or maintenance work for mono ridge tiled roofs.

“Monopitch tile and slate roofs are becoming increasingly popular again. Not only can they assist with design and detail constraints, they serve as an appropriate solution to larger roof areas where limitations might be placed on building heights. They also can deliver a striking appearance in contemporary building design,” observes Hambleside Danelaw’s Technical Manager John Godley.

“The use of the MONO6+ system benefits all parties with its universal, quick and best value one-stop systematic solution that accommodates almost all mono roof pitch tile types. Specifying of the ancillary components is simplified, and the roofing contractor can maintain consistency across multiple projects.”
