Tile vents specified for refurbishment housing project – less means more

HDTV15-4-4Hambleside Danelaw’s HD TV15 series tile vents have been specified once again due to the advantages given by their greater airflow area and the subsequent reduction in the labour costs of installation. Hypo Style Architects in Glasgow have changed the tile ventilator specification for the Kirkintilloch Council project, refurbishing 145 houses in the first of 3 phases.   The work is being conducted by the Campbell Construction Group and the HD TV15 series flush fitting tile ventilators are being supplied by Jewsons in Govan.

With an airflow area of 15,000mm2, higher than any competitive products on the market, the HD TV15 tile vents can be installed at less frequent intervals across the roof therefore less vents are required to achieve the required ventilation standard, saving both material and labour costs.

The project will now feature Hambleside Danelaw’s HD TV15/4 tile vents, for use with Marley Ludlow Major type tiles and Russells Cheviot type tiles. Hambleside Danelaw’s Dry Fix Bonding Gutter has also been specified; a unique mortarless product designed for joining dissimilar roof coverings on refurbishment projects. The patented design supports minimal disturbance to adjoining roofs.

Hambleside Danelaw’s range of roof, cavity and underfloor ventilation products, GRP flashings and ancillary roofing products are available from merchant stockists throughout the UK.
