Carbon Footprint and Embodied Carbon
Sustainability has long been a key driver in Hambleside Danelaw’s thinking.
In the early noughties, the company were quick to recognise the importance of addressing their carbon footprint, engaging with a number of key initiatives at the time, and working hard to identify areas for improvement.
As a result of this focus, their Zenon range of rooflights includes two low carbon product options, offering excellent performance in non-fragility, durability and U-value without compromising light transmission.
And Hambleside Danelaw were the first rooflight manufacturer to secure an independently verified EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for their rooflights as supplied to site. To further reinforce the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable manufacture, and to address the increasing importance of environmental concerns within the entire industry, Hambleside Danelaw chose Carbon Reduce scheme certification as the perfect way to take its next step in their Sustainability journey.
Working with the globally recognised Achilles, the Hambleside Danelaw team identified and submitted all relevant information regarding the carbon footprint of the organisation. After an in-depth analysis and audit programme, Hambleside Danelaw now hold Carbon Reduce ISO 14064-1 certification.
